Review

In this project I came across other students works that I found interesting and could easily relate my posts to.
There a few people who I came across using a gaming theme as well as other virtual design concepts.

There were also other blogs that I founds interesting but these three I felt best suited my over-all interests in design best.

Vlog

This is 2 minutes of the recently released game Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. It shows off some of the basic techniques that are meant to be used and the intense detail that designers have put into in the game.

Social Network

This social network is in the form of a comic found in the back of one of my gaming handbooks.

This Blog is from another person using programs using interactive design.
She uses a very similar style to the program I previously posted about but instead of sound has used multiple animations.

Blending Real and Digital worlds

This blog shows the interactive design that is used in real life such as sports like golf, cricket and tennis and the use of motion interaction where the person moves then the animation or digital image moves along to the persons movements, this is commonly used in movies and gaming.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

This blog talks about the final part of the ever popular video game created by Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots, made exclusively for the Playstation 3. The game is well known for its extremely detailed graphics and amazing storyline allowing this game series to be continued over a period of 20 years. The blog is on a popular gamers web-site gamespot.com and basically helps promote the game and convince people to play it.

105: Interactive Sound Collage

This was the third and final project for Design 105.
The idea was to create nine programs where users can interact with a pattern and create a melody by rolling over the icons with the mouse.

My idea was to have a layout of up to 5 circles on the screen each circle representing a different note or part of a song played and as the mouse rolled over each circle (depending on which program) it played either a single note or a small portion of a song that I had selected.

The songs I chose were all fast paced and loud but it was the interactions in some of Tom Johnson's (Person we were supposed to get our inspiration from) works that gave me the ideas for my interactive designs.
